About Telos
Telos is a new organization dedicated to reducing global suffering. We run programs across multiple cause areas, including animal welfare, human mental health, AI alignment, and fundamental research into welfare measures, with the aim of empowering advocates to improve the lives of sentient beings.
Our goal is to build talent and foster collaboration across organizations, groups, and individuals working to improve the welfare of sentient beings globally. We aim to to identify and implement cost-effective interventions to improve wellbeing at scale.
Our programs serve to train global talent and researchers, incubate impactful projects and tools, and ultimately drive change across governance institutions and civil society to build the best possible future: a kinder, high-welfare future for all that feel.

Our Programs
All of our programs are facilitator-led and fully remote.
AI Governance Career Accelerator
This program supports fellows’ career transitions into AI governance. Fellows will gain an understanding of career paths into AI governance, improve their application materials, and build connections and mentorship to help their transition into working directly on AI policy.
China’s AI Landscape
This program equips fellows with the foundational understanding to productively engage China’s latest AI policies, developments, and their implications for global AI governance.

2-3 hours prep
Before each discussion you’ll spend around two hours completing a set of readings, videos, and activities.
1.5h discussion
Weekly discussions with a cohort of fellow participants and an experienced facilitator.
